Deep Travel in Southeast Guizhou Miao Villages - Zhaixing (寨兴), Basha (坝沙), and Jiabang (加榜) Terraced Fields
Departing from Guangzhou, you can reach Congjiang (从江) by high-speed train in just 3 hours, easily embarking on a weekend escape plan! 🚄 Upon arrival, choose local bus or taxi, and conveniently reach each Miao and Dong village.

Day 1️⃣: After arriving at Congjiang Station by high-speed train, first go to Dongjia Xiaoguan to taste local delicacies🍜, then head to the viewing platform to overlook the entire Dong Village, perfect for taking photos📷! Afterward, take a walk within the village, experience the ethnic flavor on the streets, and browse distinctive little shops🎁. At night, watch the Dong Grand Song Bonfire Party, to truly experience Dong's customs💃
Day 2️⃣: After breakfast, take a bus to Tang'an Terraced Fields (堂安梯田), where the terraced fields layer upon layer, combined with green hills and villages to form an incredibly beautiful painting🌅. You can walk 3.2 kilometers here; the scenery along the way is spectacular, and it has even been named one of "China's seven most beautiful hiking routes"🚶♀️🚶♂️
👉Basha Miao Village (坝沙苗寨)：

🕙Direct buses are available from Congjiang high-speed rail station and Zhaixing Dong Village to Basha Miao Village. The welcoming ceremony at the village entrance starts at 11:00, so you can depart from Zhaixing at about 9 o'clock😉. As China's last gunmen tribe, this place retains traditional customs such as scythe haircuts, bullfighting, and the mystical tree burial culture. Basha Miao Village's reed pipe dance and sun-facing sacrificial activities manifest Miao people's awe and worship towards nature.
👉Jiabang Terraced Fields (加榜梯田):
The terraces are breathtaking, presenting a different beauty in each season. From April to May is mirror-terraced season, and September is golden terraces🌾. However, transportation may be inconvenient; it takes over two hours from Basha Miao Village🕙. The entire terraced fields consist of 1 to 6 viewing platforms, with sightseeing cars available for easy access, and platforms 4 to 5 are also walkable🚶♀️.

✅Take sun protection measures and prevent mosquito bites, especially when outdoors in Miao villages, otherwise you may get sunburnt or bitten by bugs 😣.
✅Make reservations for relevant attractions and activities in advance to avoid running empty and affecting the itinerary😒.
✅It is not recommended to buy souvenirs inside sightseeing spots as they tend to be more expensive. You can look for more affordable and distinctive items at local markets🎁.
✅If you participate in paddy field fishing, the fish you catch can be cooked by the restaurant owner for you to taste your labour's fruits😋.
✅If you want to watch the sunset, Tang'an Terraced Field is a great choice. Setting off around 4 pm is just right🌅.
