Longmenhao Old Street Travel Guide

Scenic Area Introduction

Longmenhao Old Street is located on Nanbin Road in the Nanan District of Chongqing, blending historical culture with modern charm. As an important witness to Chongqing's opening-up culture, it preserves a large number of buildings from the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period, including the former consulate site and foreign trade company ruins, showcasing Chongqing's historical transition from an inland city to internationalization. The old street is nestled against the mountains and waters, backed by the South Mountain, facing the Yangtze River, and overlooking the Yuzhong Peninsula across the river, offering excellent viewing scenery.

Longmenhao Old Street is not only a reflection of history but also a paradise for photography enthusiasts. The buildings with green tiles and bricks, mottled walls, ancient window frames, and modern art installations create a unique visual impact. The "Longmenhao Moon" here is one of the eight scenic spots of ancient Bayu, where the lights and river water intertwine at night, making it an irresistibly captivating sight.
